Frequently Asked Questions
Are these stuffed soothers safe for newborns?
Most soothers are designed for newborn use but check the manufacturer age guidance and safety labels. For unsupervised sleep, remove loose plush or blankets from the crib per safe-sleep guidelines — use these items as soothing companions during supervised cuddle time and naps where recommended. Ensure any small parts are securely attached and follow care instructions.
Can I wash these stuffed animals in the washing machine?
Washability varies. Plush items with electronics typically require you to remove the sound module before machine washing or to spot-clean only. Blankets like the Orelle checkered option are machine washable. Always follow the product care label and remove any electronics before laundering.
What's better: rechargeable or battery-powered soothers?
Rechargeable units save money over time and are convenient for travel because you don’t need spare batteries. Battery-powered models are often cheaper up front and easy to swap during extended trips. Choose based on how often you’ll use the soother away from power sources and your preference for lower ongoing costs (rechargeable) vs lower initial price (battery-powered).
