Frequently Asked Questions
Are these stuffed animals safe for newborns?
Most products here are designed for newborn bonding, but follow manufacturer age guidance. Choose loveys with securely sewn parts, no loose attachments, and removable electronics. For unsupervised crib sleep many manufacturers recommend waiting until after 12 months or removing soft toys — always follow safe-sleep guidelines from your pediatrician.
How do I wash a lovey with a sound module?
Remove the sound box or electronics before machine washing unless the product specifically states machine-washable with electronics enclosed. Use a gentle cycle with mild detergent and low-heat drying if allowed. Check each product’s care label before laundering to protect fabric and sound components.
Which features are worth paying extra for?
Rechargeable batteries, cry-activation (auto-soothe), durable controls, and high-quality hypoallergenic fleece are useful premium features. If you prioritize simplicity and frequent washing, focus on removable electronics and machine-washable fabrics rather than extra bells that may complicate cleaning.
