Frequently Asked Questions
Are pack 'n plays safe for overnight sleep while traveling?
Yes — provided the model meets current safety standards, has a firm, flat mattress pad and breathable sides. Use only manufacturer-approved mattress pads and fitted sheets, avoid extra blankets or soft toys for infants, and follow the recommended age/weight limits. If you add a separate mattress, ensure it fits snugly without gaps.
Can I use the bassinet insert for newborns and how long will it last?
Most removable bassinets are designed for newborns up to a weight or height limit (check the product manual). They’re intended for the first few months until baby can push up or roll over. For longer use, choose a multifunction pack 'n play with adjustable bassinet heights or a dedicated bedside sleeper.
What sheets and mattress pads work best on the go?
Choose fitted sheets made specifically for pack 'n play mattresses to ensure a tight fit. For comfort, add a thin, firm, breathable mattress pad rather than thick padding. Look for machine-washable, quick-dry fabrics (cotton or polyester blends) and bring two fitted sheets so you can swap during laundry or spills.
